WEDNESDAY WISDOM 09/30/20

We had so much fun on instagram live on Wednesday and I loved talking about how girls can make their mark in fields of work or study that have been traditionally occupied by males. Have you ever felt intimidated to do something you feel compelled to do?
.
One of my favorite master classes was the CEO of Disney. I love the way he says things like “nobody wants to be lead by a pessimist.” I also love the story he tells about what propelled him to want to create a life of purpose and it wasn’t what I expected it to be but rather it was the story regarding the disappointment he saw in his father’s life and the feeling he had that he never wanted to experience the same sense of failure and lack of fulfillment that he saw growing up.  He went on to explain that he used this as his fuel to create a life that he was proud of. I love that the thing that could have destroyed him was the thing that made him great.
.
Armed with this purpose he went on to also redefine the definition of a modern day princess for Disney and the world, “a modern day princess has a sense of themselves, they have a purpose not reliant on a man, they have a spirit of adventure and a life of their own. They are capable of independent thinking and independent doing.”
.
I want to thank Bob Iger for his commitment to helping change the landscape of what young women see on the screen. To me a modern day princess lives by her own rules, has a purpose, has a sense of humor, sense of purpose and is not afraid to fail because she understands failure is the way to get one step closer to greatness. Her superpower is believing in herself so she can make the world a better place because out of 6 billion people on the earth there is only one, you have one short life to live and that is your superpower.
.
One of our favorite super girls, Courtney Kardaras released her Tie Dye collection last Wednesday and as you see most of the items sold out that night!
