Happy Mother’s Day

MOTHERS

To all the mothers out there thank you for making your mark on the world in such a deep and meaningful way.

Mother’s in some way or another are secretly shaping the world. From bringing up Presidents to Nobel Prize winners to believing in their children who are athletes, musicians, scholars, doctors, and teachers. And most importantly who are believing in their children when things look the bleakest. My mother is 79 and she has never stopped believing in us or telling us in our most heart-breaking moments that we must have faith in all of it even the bad stuff. She taught us to persevere through the pain explaining patiently over and over that there was something beautiful waiting for us on the other side. Mother’s paste us pack together when we are falling apart. The job is underpaid and lacks glamour and it might be overlooked by magazines who talk about CEO’s and billionaires or actors but behind those people are mothers, women who sacrificed their bodies and life for their children. Teaching a child to be kind, raise up others, be resilient in the face of challenges and to work hard is a mission that is honorable and the beating heart of a world filled with love and hope. To all the mothers out there I say, “thank you for being brave and for the profound work you are doing to make the world a better place. If you don’t know it or feel exhausted or under appreciated please remember there is no greater contribution you can make than dedicating yourself to the another human being.” To my mom, no words could ever describe what you have done for me and for Eric. Thank you with every fiber of my being for all of it.
